The Strange Schemes of Randolph Mason
Fascinating series of stories revolving around Randolph Mason, a lawyer whose knowledge of the law is so great that he can get away with just about anything. He helps people "break" the law and when they are brought to justice he proves that no law has been broken (even when a woman is knifed, cut into pieces, and her remains dissolved in an acid bath). There is much talk of "fate" in this book and it seems Mason is out to stop fate from acting. A book that will especially interest lawyers and people interested in the way that the law operates.
